Hello from the Pacific!
Hello Everyone,
I'm the new guy here. To get started I'll say a little about myself.
I'm in the USAF as a maintainer. I've wanted a Harley for as long as I can remember. I currently own a DeLorean, in case there are some here that have no idea what that is. It's the car off of Back to the Future. I'm deployed to Guam at the moment but when I get back stateside I plan on selling the DeLorean and purchasing my first bike. I've owned a scooter and a pocket rocket but not a MAN'S bike. The bike I have in mind is a nightster. I've been on Youtube and Google doing as much research as I can on which bike is better suited for me and the Nightster stands out for a few reasons, mostly the price and I've read nothing but excellent reviews on the bike. I do have a few questions for any owners on here about a consumer standpoint.
I'm 6 feet tall and will use the bike as a daily, how comfortable are they to ride for someone of my heigth?
Really that is all the questions I have. I look forward to being apart of the Harley Davidson community.

first thanks for Ur service, second used to a DeLorean bout 1/4 mile from home.
and the nightster is a good bike, as far as comfort only U can decide. If Ur asking I've got a feeling U already have doubts...Best to sit and ride one before buying any bike..

This forum has search feature, I recommend U using that and look through the Sporty section. that will help U on your choice.. See what others that own them have to say about them.
Usually within a yr or two it seems like most of the taller riders that are sporty owners have moved on to something bigger.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I would love to get a bigger bike but as a beginer I thought a sporty would be a good one to start with due to the weight of the bike itself. I don't want to start out with something that is to big for me to handle. The bike will be used mainly to commute to and from work and weekend trips. I do plan on sitting on it and thinking about it, I'm here until late March so I have plenty of time.
