riding for decades but first Harley
Been loitering here for a while, no reason to join until tonight. Long time rider of cruisers (been up Mt. Washington on an Intruder 1400) and sports (been fast enough to die before any part of me hit the asphalt).
Tomorrow (if all goes to plan) I pick up my first Harley. Waited a week for a return call on an 07 Super Glide (cash in hand ready to buy) then tonight the Hog gods made me check Craigslist one last time. Could this really be legit? A 2008 Fat Bob in my color with less than 1000 miles for 10 grand? Surely it must be sold already I told myself as I emailed the seller. One minute later I got a reply with a phone number. "It is still available"!
20 minutes later on the phone, the seller will hold the bike for me through tomorrow. Legit, one owner, perfect condition, clear title and everything else right.
Stoked is an understatement! By this time tomorrow I (should) will have the Bike I really wanted all along, at way less than I should be paying for it.
Here's hoping for a safe 2 hour trip home tomorrow on this:

Dont take this wrong. but it kinda gets me.
Amazing how many new harley owners that can't wait to get one when they don't have to pay much for a used one. I dont blame ya.
Just shows me it aint the bike, cause so many riders really want a harley.
But its all about the money...
