New to the Forum
Hey fellow riders..
I'm new to this forum. I don't currently own a Harley but I am hoping that reading the forums here will help me choose the right Harley to buy next year. At this point I don't know enough about the different Harley's I see on the road to be able to tell them apart, and when I do see one on the road that looks like the kind I would like to ride I never know which model it was. I rented one a few years ago in Pigeon Forge Tennessee and had a blast though. I have a Suzuki Savage which was my first bike, and I've had a lot of folks ask me if it was a Harley.. ha! Hardley is more like it..
I live in Roanoke, Virginia where there are some really incredible roads to ride right out off the back door practically. I am also a very avid Fly Fisherman and this summer I have been combining the two passions by riding to the various trout rivers and streams in the area to fish - it's been the best summer! I actually have become kind of obsessed with it and started a Motorcycle Fly Fishing Tour Guide Service - if anyone on these forums is interested in Fly Fishing you should come out to Roanoke and go for a ride with me. You can check it out at http://www.ridefishride.com - It's so much fun and it feels great to get out in a river and look back at the bank to see only a motorcycle there.
I look forward to doing some research and asking some questions on the forums here.. hopefully next summer I'll be Fly Fishing from a new (probably used) Harley!

RE: New to the Forum
Welcome from another forum newbie from Ohio. What kind of riding do you want to do? Local, long distance, etc? What style bike catches your eye? Touring, cruiser? Lots of things to consider when picking your ride. Good luck in your search for a Harley.
