Hutto newbie
New Harley owner from Hutto Texas. Been wrenching on bikes since highschool. I worked in a Triumph/Bultaco shop during college.
I started out riding a 72 Kawasaki S2...the 350cc two stroke triple. It was my high school ride. Then senior year I bought a 72 650 Triumph Bonneville. Bought it myself...No help from mommy or daddy. It had extended forks/raked and straight pipes. I miss both of those bikes a lot!
My dad always had Harleys but I needed to go through my sport bike days right after college. A few ZX7's then I moved to Kaw KZ1100 and a Zepher(boring), some RZ350 road racing and my kids got in to Motocross racing. I bought a small Cobra motorcycle dealership and we've been racing 9 years or so. Ended up selling the shop and moving from Phoenix to Texas. Love Texas! Don't miss Phoenix!!!
Started working on the neighbors Harley and sorta liked riding it for some test rides so I decided to go looking. Ended up buying this 98 Springer Softail...that has the Heritage style front end. Don't reallly know what the fender is off but its not the heritage. So my current ride is this 98 FXSTS Some chrome, S&S carb, V&H pipes. Been using it as my commuter on my 18 mile work trek. Absoloutley love it. Only problem is its lowered which should be good since I'm short. I keep grounding out cornering. Have not lost the road racer in me yet. Guess i'll just grind the pipes down until they don't rub anymore...8*)
