Thinking about a trike...
#21
Thanks for the warm welcome, folks. Just filled up for the first time tonight; haven't been able to get it out much here lately, but had a nice ride to meet the family for dinner. Getting a lot more comfortable with the left hand turns, just need to work on my braking now. Tend to use the rear to slow, then front only when I'm using both feet to balance. A couple of riders I've seen look like they support the bike with their left leg and keep the right foot on the brake.
Having an absolute blast - glad I got this!

I bought a 08 Harley Ultra that had a DFT trike kit on it the end of July I love it. I have been riding a Yamaha Venture for the last two year and enjoyed it very much but was always nervous about where i drove it and parked it and what would i do in a panic. Now I just ride, park where I want (just watch the grade no reverse ) my better half enjoys it a lot more too. spent the first miles driving around the black hill during sturgis that was interesting but a good learning curve. For two people its a very good way to ride the passanger can move around without upsetting the driver. A single rider would probley enjoy two wheels more I just love to ride be it two wheel or three lets have fun

A lot of good advice from the members here on two wheels, but if you decide "it ain't happenin" and you really want to consider a trike, the Harley TriGlide is quite the toy. My wife doesn't trust that I won't drop her on my Heritage so we ride her 2010 TriGlide when we go together, and it's a real blast. Having said that, I'm with the guys that say for you to give it a chance and/or get some time on something smaller - maybe a Sportster.
