New Guy, 3rd bike, 1st Harley
Hi all, I got my first harley a couple of months ago. I have been riding about 12 years, 1st bike was a 1996 Suzuki Savage, then an 1998 750 Suzuki Katana. I recently picked up an 09 FXDC in vivid black and it goes without saying this is by far my favorite bike. It took some getting used to as I took a year off from riding after my last bike, and this is a lot heavier than the suzukis. I got used to the extra weight pretty fast and am amazed at how well the super glide handles and how comfortable it is. I always knew people would ride for hours and hours, I could never imagine doing that until now. I haven't finished a ride yet where I didn't wish I could just keep going. I think about riding all the time now, work has never been so unbearable. Other hobbies include GUNS!
