New H-D Rider
Good morning from Colorado;
I've been over on the Touring bike forum and forgot to introduce myself and my bike. I haven't had a bike since I was a kid and have wanted a Harley for a looong time! The bike is great but the best part of buying it has been the loving support of an even greater wife! She used to ride for several years herself and we've gotten to a point in our lives that we could comfortably afford to take out a loan and pull the trigger on a purchase.
My Road King Classic is an 02 model that we found for sale in the next county. The previous owner was meticulous about caring for it and he had a good eye for detail and how he wanted to accessorize it. He builds custom Caddies and wanted a bike that reflected the spirit of the 60's. I think he wanted to move onto a new project bike and parted with this one which has a truck load of accessories out the of the HD catalog.
We fell head-over-heels in love with the RK as soon as we saw it. Thoughts of waiting several more months to buy a new one went away as soon as we saw this one. It has only 13,000 miles on it but looks like it came off a showroom floor. If anyone's interested in more photo's, please send me a private message and I'll send them.
Thanks to all on this forum for your support to the many questions I've posted before I bought the bike. This is a great place to escape to.
Be Careful!
