New Wide Glide owner
Well, I finally went and did it. I have been riding since I was a kid and have always wanted a Harley. I just purchased a 2005 Wide Glide in Brilliant Silver Pearl. Had the Stage 1 Kit and Screaming Eagle slip-ons put on while I waited for a weekend to drive home from Delaware to get it back in Ohio. Never sat on one till I got it. They rolled it outside, I put my paperwork in my friend's truck and went to pull it around front where 8 fellow co-workers had rode their HD's up to watch me get it. WOW!!! It is both a sight and sound of power! It is rather loud with the slip-ons but that is what I wanted. I rode 150 miles that day and then had to put it to bed until I get back from Delaware the first of June. I can't wait. It is 10 times the machine my last bike was. It was a Honda Magna 700 V-4. The Wide Glide is far superior to anything I have ridden. Glad I finally bought a real machine!

Congrats and welcome to th Forum. After having been away from bikes for 20+ years, I finally got back into them and bought a Dyna Glide in early April. I also had the SEII slip-ons, air kit and re-map done before I picked it up. Don't worry, the SEII's ony seem loud the first 2 or 3 times you ride. After that, they sound JUST RIGHT! Had to be neat to have your Bro's there, Thanks for sharing the moment with us.

Congrats and Welcome to the Forum!!!! I can feel your excitement, as I did the same thing last Oct., went from a Honda Shadow to my Heritage and WOW!!!! Welcome to Harley, Ride Safe and Enjoy!!!!! I have the same slip ons, they aren't loud, they be just right!!!

Welcome Brother.I'm glad to hear of your great ride and also I'm glad to know there's another Harley on the road.My last bike was a Wideglide and I loved it and I know you'll like yours (great bikes).Enjoy the forum and the new ride.
