Room for one more lady biker?
I've been lurking on this sight for a while and decided to join. I've been riding from the age of 14 and dirt bikes before that. I've been riding Harleys almost as long but I haven't seen the whole Harley Davidson experience. In fact that is why I decided to joined.
I recently separated from my husband of a few years and no longer belong to the club he belonged to. So I'm relearning about the Harley scene from the perspective of a woman who loves bikes a much as living and rides everywhere she goes. However, I'm unsure how to deal with it without the club looking out for me.
As for me personally, I'm in my mid 20's and I don't plan on being anyone's bitch anytime in the future. And I'm getting a lot of support from women who are ardent riders. I know the guys are giving me a bit of respect they don't give other women. However, I need to thread the situation a bit better. It's all so complicated and simple at the same time.
Anyway I do a bit of wrenching and I've rebuilt a bike or two. This is my baby for right now. It's a 2009 Fat Bob upgraded past step one specs. However, I gotten used to forward controls and my next Bob won't have midline controls.
I've got a V Rod Street Rod also a XR1200 which is the nifty for getting around town.

Welcome from MA. You wont need a club to "look out" for you. You seem to be a self secure young (very, very young) woman. You'll do just fine. Keep your positive attitude, keep having fun, and ride hard. That's what it is all about.
