Welcome! Your NEW wife is a smart lady! I did the same thing. My husband used to ride but hadn't since he had an accident 12 years ago. When we got married I pushed the issue of getting a bike. Now we are the proud owners of a 2000 Wideglide...and loving every minute of it!
