I fell in love on my first HD ride!
Hello all,
I am new in all ways here. A friend took me for a ride last Saturday and I fell in love. He has a 2008 Touring bike which rode like a Cadillac. Wow!
I don't own a Harley but I'd sure like to buy one soon.
My questions is this: as a newbie, what items do I really need to have to ride? He furnished a helmet, I bought some good Harley boots and that's it so far.
Any help would be appreciated
I'm from Bloomington, IN.

You don't need that much; gloves, eye protection like streetg7 recommended and a proper sized helmet along with the boots you got. Don't worry about what brand, it doesn't have to have the HD logo on it.

Welcome from centarl Georgia. Gloves, boots, eye protection (could be a full face helmet), legal proper fitting helmet, and other gear to protect legs, arms, and back. As you become more experienced you can then better decide for yourself what you prefer to wear.
