Welcome from Bristol, England.

I have the 1200C and love it. But I'm only 5'8" and 119 lbs. I could imagine a Sportster possibly feeling slightly cramped for someone of your build. I would try at least a test ride of the nightster, but also try out some of the other models and see what suits you best. If $$ is an issue (when isnt it), there is no reason not to consider a second hand model of one of the other bikes thats within your budget. But when you've narrowed it down to a specific model do some research on the area of the forum dedicated to that model for more guidance. Good luck.
