Hi, just checked in, trying to get up to date on Sportsters..
I Started riding in '64, on an old 45 tank shifter, rode for some years, quit for a long time, and came back to riding in '93.
I'm Looking at a 2008 Nightster. I have short legs, and have been dropping my present bike, a "Su**ki" V-Strom.Talked to my wife about it, My wife said no way, so now I HAVE to buy it. A few years ago, I bought her an 883 Low, and I liked it, but the riding position was a little off, and I wanted the bigger 1200 motor.
Anyway, Last Harley I personally owned, was a long long time ago, and wasn't like these that have shock absorbers,

Hope to learn a lot here. If I buy the Nightster, I hope they're comfortable to ride pretty far. So I'm here to ask about that before I give them my $$.

Lots of different areas to read & learn from in here. Most of the (What’s the best?), questions have been answered 100's of times in here.

Welcome from Lawton, OK. I have short legs too, must be an Oklahoma thing. Anyway, I would sit on a few softails with lower seat. They may actually get you lower to the ground.
