Hey guys im Ray and ill be starting to ride a 97 883 sportster in a few weeks once i get my license. Idk how elitist you guys are but before you say anything about riding a 883 keep in mind its my first bike and im also about 5' 8" and 155lbs. Not exactly a large individual.

I unfortunately dont have pictures as the bike I'm gonna be riding is sitting in a hangar right now


Ive been looking all over and cant seem to find whats really popular to do to these bikes though. So if anyone could point me in a good direction that would be great. Id love to strip it down a bit and lower it but it seems everyone who has one has a hardtail frame.

Anyway hello and any help will be really appreciated Im beyond new to this whole bike thing.
