Default New Rider,First Harley and New to the Forum

I found this forum while doing research for the purchase of a 06 Sportster 883. It helped my alot in my decision but really was already made up anyway. I am US ARMY stationed here in Germany and was able get a pretty decent price on a Harley here and it took 2 years of conviencing the wife to say yes. I am currently waiting for paper work to be done so i can pick the bike up. It sucks cause i have the financing done and insurance taken care of and see my bike everyday on display pretty much at the sales center. My only satisfaction is going over there during lunch time to talk and bug the saleman and sit on my new 06 Sportster. Anyway glad to be here and look forward to learning and talking with everyone. And most of all riding the beautiful country side here in Germany.

Congratulations on the bike. I am also new and and bought a XL1200C and waited for near a month until I took the MSF course, which I will finish tomorrow. I at least had it in my garage. Germany would be a cool place to ride, a lot of neat scenery and plenty of curves. I was stationed there with the AF in the mid 70s. Hope you get it soon and enjoy the heck out of it.
