Wow, all these welcomes…it's nice. Thanks, all of you.
I got my bike back yesterday!!!! It looks as good as new, plus I've had Progressive springs and stiffer oil put in the front, slimmer grips, Progressive 440s on order for the back, and I replaced the damaged Screaming Eagle II slip ons with the Vance and Hines ones, with the quiet baffles. The front forks had to be replaced as well as the front wheel and tyre, and the screen. Oh she is nice and sounds great!!!
While I was a the dealer's a guy from Vegas was studying the route to the week-end's meet in Benelux. We rode with him through town and to the A20, half way to the Channel Tunnel. As a first ride back it was glorious: sunshine (absent today), three of us getting out of town to the point where all Larry had to do is follow the road, and a quick burst on the motorway for us on the way back. The bike is better than before and most of all I felt so at home on it. Life is good!
