Stop Me if You've Heard This Before...
Rode bikes all my life until a crash 15 years ago that totaled my Yamaha FZR1000. Never had a Harley, though.
I've managed to fight the bike fever I'd still get every spring until this year. After much research I had decided on something from the BMW R1200 series. We did a little haggling at the BMW place, then all I had to do was show up at the dealer the following week, sign the papers, and ride away.
The day before I was to take delivery of the Beemer I was heading to a sporting goods store when I drove by the local Harley dealership. On a whim, I stopped in and in less than five minutes I filling out a credit app on an '09 FXDB in denim black.
Something about this bike just called to me. It was overwhelming. All logic went flying out the window that morning and I ended up buying the bike for it's looks alone.
In the two weeks that I've now had this Street Bob I have enjoyed every mile I've put on it. I'm officially a convert - this despite the fact that customizing this thing is going to be hideously expensive.
Anyway, that's my story. I'm Bill...pleased to meet ya.
