How about this! I was perfectly fine, riding a new 6 cylinder Goldwing... until I saw a picture of a Dyna Wideglide. Two weeks later...the Wing was gone & I was on the Dyna.

 

LOL! You win.

Great story, I too was without a ride but only for 9 years after getting hit by a distracted driver. Sold the ZX-7 and swore I would never ride again, but as you said every spring I'd be in the car minding my own buisness and here would come that damn noisy, loud, group of Harley riders and as much as I tried to fight it I'd get that feeling in my gut that just screams LET'S RIDE!!! So after seeing the new Iron on line I decided to go and look at it (I swear I was only looking) about twnety minutes after I saw it I was signing the papers and picked it up Valentines day. Now I can't stop grinning like an idiot!! Another thing I said when I stopped riding was that I would never own a black bike - my IRON is of course Denim Black!!
