You Decide! It's your bike!!!
Been Riding off and on since I was 14, Metric and Harley! Found things I liked in both! As far as your weight making a difference. , I've seen tiny women not much more than a 100# riding full Dresser's so what ever you pick I"m sure you'll be able to handle the weight.

Welcome,
When you ask for opinions.... you'll get more than you bargined for. Remember this one simple truth.... you, are the only one PAYING for the bike, so your's is the only opinion worth listening to.
If you have your heart set on a Harley, and ONLY a Harley will do..... then you'll get a Harley. Doesn't matter what other's tell you.
My attitude is, has been, and will likely always be.... do your own home work, sit on everything out there, and make an honest decision, based on what you can afford to lose. When I was younger, I'd just pay for what I wanted, and then go into hock, to maintain/insure the bike. Now I'm older, and I do more homework.
Anyone who asks on a forum what bike they should purchase, in (IMO) someone without a clear view of the task, they wish to accomplish. That's why I always answer buy a used metric, ride a while THEN decide what tasks you will perform, then buy the appropriate tool.
I like motorcycles.... ALL kinds, all types, all brands. Each bike has done what Ive asked it to do, and over the years that taks have changed.
Most bikes "seem" big at first, it's all what you're used to,After a few miles, even an Ultra is "flickable" to a skilled rider.

Nothing wrong with a Sporty. I had one, but got a bagger because I wanted to do more big rides. Lots of good opinions on here for you to consider. Welcome to the forums, from MO.
