New Sportster owner from Ohio
I recently acquired a 2002 Harley Sportster 883R. This is my first Harley, and it's better then I expected it to be. It has a SE stage one kit, and a SE 2-1 exhaust. The exhaust sounds great and the bike scoots for what it is. The 1200cc kit may get installed next winter.
This is what my Sportster looked like when I got it.
I took all of the chrome "extras" off of it, removed the front fender, lowered the front end and installed a Hugger kit stand and cleaned up the forks.
A burly slammer kit is on the way. The bike is currently torn apart getting all kinds of new goodies. I'm putting the stock tank back on to get rid of the horrid purple flames. It's getting RockWall 1inch clip-ons and a 7 inch headlight fork side mounted headlight.
I've been browsing this forum for a while. There is a lot of great info here.
