Default Hello from Iowa!

Hello everybody, thanks for having me. I'm trying to find as much info as possible about all the Harley models...I started on a 250 ninja and currently borrow/rent a stock 2002 883 from a pal of mine. I grew up on the back of Harleys and Triumphs and always expected to get a bike just never did until last summer.

One question I have is when I go to different sub forums like General Chat it says there is 37,000 threads but then I only get 4 pages of threads. Am I on newb restriction or something?? Many thanks!!

Hello and welcome from Los Angeles. I am new too, so I don't have an answer for you as far as the forums go, but with your bike issue I would have to ask if you like your buddies Sportster. For some, that is the style and price range they are looking for. The new Iron 883 looks badical. But if you want more power than what you have been riding, then you could upgrade to a 1200, which is nice or just go with a full size. Almost everyone ends up trading in thier Sportsters for a big boy at one point or another. Hell, I did. I would suggest sticking with 2004 and newer for longer, more comfortable rides without numbing amounts of vibration.

I love the low end power of the sportster but with my boots on I'm a good 6'2 - 6'3 so I figured I'd go bigger...I'm already diggin' the Street Bob but I'm not even sure how much bigger a dyna is than a sportster...also I plan to travel alot so I thought about picking up a used Heritage. We'll see.
