Hi from a new harley owner UK
Hi all just an intro my name is Keith i am now a proud owner of a nightrod special this is my first Harley.. i passed my test over a month ago. after riding a 125 for 4 years it was about time i took my test! i was then looking for a bigger bike... so i started looking.... wasnt sure what i wanted so the choices was vast! after a couple of weeks of looking i saw the nightrod! instantly i knew this was the bike i was getting... i search for two weeks to get one as new as possible, i then recieved an email from a man in london saying he had one at the right price, so i traveled up to London from Lancashire around 260 miles away! when i got there after many delays on public transport ect... i arrived around 5pm i saw the bike had a ride! instantly this was the bike for me it only had 4 miles on the clock.... what a ride, i set of to Lancashire for a nice ride! ... after 20miniute it began to rain VERY HEAVY. (not what the weather man said! LOL) it rained all the way home!
7 Hours later i arrived home a bit worst for wear.. SHOCKED it was a lesson for sure.... ... Check the weather on long journeys! (simple really) i think i was just eager...
the following day was very dry and clear! WOW well worth the troble getting the bike! all i can say is this bike is Outstanding... this bike will take some beating! looks good too Thanks Harley Davidson!
only one problem i have found the petrol tank is smaller than i thought ....
take care all

Hi Keith and welcome from Bristol, England.
Thats quite a trip to make on your first real Harley ride after only having experience on a 125. Glad to hear you made it safely. I occassionally visit Lancashire as some of the wifes famly are in the area. I'm sure there will be others on the forum not that far away from you as well. Ive certainly spoken to one or two in Yorkshire and one in Cumbria who occassionally visits the Preston Harley Dealer.
Have fun and stay safe.
