Default 883 Question?....

First of all....Hello! I am in Newnan Ga, and ride a Boulevard C90, but I have found a 02 Sportster 883 with 6,000 miles that my wife is just crazy about

I have never had a Harley....it's all new to me, but was wondering what I should look/look out for? The pros and cons if you will This one like I said is an 02 w/ 6000 and some odd miles. One ownwer, Great South HD in Newnan has it now.

They bought it from the orginal ownwer, it wasn't a trade in. He was an older fellow that just didn't ride any more and wanted to sell it. I think they are asking 4800-4900 is this a reasonable price.

Is there any ongoing problems that I should be aware of with this bike?
Thanks for any input in advance....Chuck

Welcome from Vancouver Island in Beautiful British Columbia. You will probably get the best responses by posting this on the Sporster Models forum.

you can do better in a private deal, but if that is what you like go for it, but don't look at riding double

Welcome from Northern California. The 2004 and newer Sportsters have a rubber mounted engine, vibration no longer an issue if that bothers you. If you plan a lot of two up riding, or are large, a bigger bike would be a better choice.

Welcome from Virginia. If you plan on riding 2-up, you probably need to look for a larger bike.

I agree with the other guys, Sportsters are fantastic solo rides, but I'd lean towards a Dyna if you want to double pack and still keep the $$ down.
