Just got a new to me bike - Just Joined HDF
Hi out there,
My wife wanted a bike for her birthday. So we went bike shopping at the local HD store and she picked out a 2001 FLHRI color luxury rich red. It is in perfect shape though I will need new tires. I fell upon this site while looking for a service manual. I like to know what is under the hood so to speak. Can’t find the hood so there might be a problem there. I was hopping for a little advice as to which service manual I should buy. There seem to be a lot out there. I would like one that will tell me how to take it apart (and put it back together too) as well as the mechanical side such as tune ups etc.
Thanks for any help.
Really, she told me she wanted to be a biker babe. Out first date was on a 305 Honda (she really just wanted to ride my bike and just brought me along to drive). Now we have a real bike.

Welcome from New Mexico. Look on ebay for the shop manual for the model and year for your bike. I bought one for my bike and saved 15.00, and didn't have to wait for the harley shop to order it.
