Lifetime Rider, New HD Owner- Birmingham, AL
Hello all from Birmingham, Alabama. Been riding motorcycles since I was five years old, just bought my first HD (2008 Fat Bob, flat black) in June and have @5000 miles on it so far.
Just ran across this site doing a Google search for "Alabama Harley Riders" and saw a lot of good information pertaining to the Fat Bob specifically and Harleys in general.
I am not a RUB by any stretch of the imagination and don't care to be lumped into anyone's idea of what a biker is or isn't.. I like to ride and I ride with anyone on anything.. even though I may look more like a MC rider I am unaffiliated.
I also moderate a local riders forum here in Alabama (www.bamarides.com) and we have members from every walk of life and riding everything from Ruckus scooters (currently our leaders in the Most Alabama Counties contest we are sponsoring) to BMW, Harleys, Suzukis, Hondas... etc.. if it has two or three wheels and/or a sidecar you're welcome to ride with us.
But that is another site for other purposes. I am here to learn from what seems to be a great group of guys with a lot of experience. I hope I don't come off too salty for anyone.. I'm sure if I get too edgy the mods will let me know. Looking forward to future conversations with you guys and gals.
Thanks for having me.
