We got detoured to Great Falls from highway 2 a few years back on our way home from Sturgis.
We had been up in North Dakota and were heading for Glacier Nat Park when we got the double whammy,road construction and a giant thunderstorm.
We came out the West end of Chester and there was a flager stopping cars,he said we didn't want to take 2 as there were a couple cars and half a dozen motorcycles stuck in the mud so he pointed us toward Great Falls.
We got cold and soaked all the way there then got a motel room but the next morning was bright and sunny so we had an excellent ride on going to the sun road.
