Hello folks. I am the local newbie. This is my first Harley, and I am getting a kick out of it. I hadnt been on a bike in 15 years or so (I had a little honda 500 back in my 20s when i couldnt afford a car).
\\\\\\;
I had a hellofa time deciding between a road king and a heritage... it pretty much came down to a coin toss and the heritage won. I suppose I will always wonder "what if the roadking won"... but then I would have wondered the same about the heritage if the road king won. I have put about 500 miles on the bike in the last few weeks and I am having a blast. My woman picked up an '08 heritage also (purple). we just need to install a couple of cb radios with voice activated so we can talk on the road (ideas/pics welcome on "howto")
\\\\\\;
Other than that, I am having a good ole time. I imagine that I will own this bike for quite a while. I am buried in payments for the forseeable next decade *grin*. So basically thats my story. *waves hello*
\\\\\\;
I am open to suggestions/thoughts/opinions on "how to", "blinging out the bike", ideas, hints, \\\\\\;roadtrips ideas, \\\\\\;trouble spots to look for, etc.

Welcome from central Illinois, good choice on the bike.

If I'm ever down your way, I'll let you buy the first beer.

as you read over some of the messages you will see that this forum which is FREE!, is having some software issues over the past month. \\; Sooner or later, they'll fix it. \\; Probably later than sooner, but we struggle on. \\; if dealing with posting issues on this forum is the worst thing that happens to me to day, I'll be very very happy.
