Default I little about myself

&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; In the spring of 2005 i decided I wanted to start riding motorcycles.&nbsp\\; I bought a Honda Rebel 250.&nbsp\\; I did not take long for me to become hooked on bikes.&nbsp\\; After 3 months and 2500 miles I was hit by a drunk driver.&nbsp\\; After being told i would never walk again (the doctors were wrong),&nbsp\\; and a week in the hospital my family was against me ever riding again.&nbsp\\; Well it took two years of legal bickering for me to get a settlement from the drunks insurance company which was good becuse it gave&nbsp\\;me time to convince the wife&nbsp\\;that bikes would always be part of my life.&nbsp\\; So last may i recieved my settlement and within a few hours became a harley davidson owner.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; &nbsp\\;I purchased a 2000 superglide.&nbsp\\; The bike&nbsp\\;had a Kuryakyn&nbsp\\;hypercharger, drag bars, loud pipes, and had been lowered when I&nbsp\\;bought it.&nbsp\\; The bike runs abd handels great.&nbsp\\; It is pretty much everything I have always wanted in a Harley.&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; That leads me to how&nbsp\\;I found the Forums.&nbsp\\; Last week I was cleaning the bike getting rady for a ride to N.C. to ride the Dragon.&nbsp\\; I noticed that my drive belt was beginning to crack and looked as if I was going to start loosing teeth.&nbsp\\; After a ride down to the bike shop to verify, I had to start spending money.&nbsp\\; Thanks to the internet i was able to get a new belt and&nbsp\\;new rear pulley without spending next months mortgage payment.&nbsp\\; So all of my parts are in and I dove into&nbsp\\;my weekend project elbow deep.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; After an&nbsp\\;hour i found myself frustrated, I could not figure&nbsp\\;out how in the hell to remove the inner chain drive.&nbsp\\; After a quick google search, i found myself here.&nbsp\\; I had no idea there was a website for harley owners to help each other out or just shoot the breeze.&nbsp\\; Well the bike is almost back together, i am going to go by a set of chrome primary bolts in the morning.&nbsp\\; So i figure i will be riding&nbsp\\;by lunchtime.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;

You do not need to remove the wheel in any way nor do you need to remove the pivot pin any further than flush with the swing arm cleve block (or bearing).&nbsp\\; Save a bunch of time and aggregation by just removing (if you do not have duel exhausts) the upper shock bolt than rotate the shock down (forward).&nbsp\\; Put the belt around the pulley &amp\\; slip it around the shock.&nbsp\\; Replace the shock.&nbsp\\; Remove the inner primary &amp\\; throw a ratcheting tie down around the frame and attach it to the trans on both sides.&nbsp\\; Take strain off of motorcycle by using either a scissor jack or cherry picker.&nbsp\\; Remove isolator on belt side &amp\\; both pivot end caps.&nbsp\\; &nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;When done, twist belt 90 degrees and insert it between the frame &amp\\; swing arm.&nbsp\\; Go to my site here for photos on how to do the job.&nbsp\\; Hope this helps.&nbsp\\; If you look around you can find more do-it-yourself crap to make your life easier &amp\\; your bike much safer &amp\\; fun to drive.
