Greetings fom Austria!
Hi! My name is Heinz and I live in Rastenfeld/ Austria. I´ve been a guest to this great forum for some time. I like the the talk about the bikes there and of course the great pics. Now I want to enter as a new member and show you my bike I own presently. It´s a FLSTSC 07 model and I bought it damaged last summer fairly cheap. I´m a hobby mechanic and in winter (They are very long in Austria!) I put a K&\\;\\\\\\;N filter on it, Screamin` Eagle exhausts and installed a Screamin`Eagle Race Tuner kit. To make the brakes work more efficiently I decided for a PM 4 piston caliper and full floating rotors. Because I had to buy new fenders and the tank (besides some more parts) which had to be painted I wanted to give that bike a special look. Some time ago I had read a book about the famous WWII “Flying Tigers” pilots. The P40 Warhawk looks with shark teeth design, (which was later chosen by some P51 Mustang pilots for their planes) should appear as well as the “checkertails” and - what else – a pin up motive. I did the job on the computer and a good friend of mine did all the airbrush work after he had primed it in OEM \\;\\\\\\; HD olive pearl. All I will do next time is to install a Cross Bones saddle to complete my “Flying Tiger”. (If I should manage to obtain one) Well, that´s all for first!
