Thanks for making me feel welcome-I'm sure I'm going to have loads of questions.
I can't believe how cool all the Harley folk have been. I was half expecting to get pummled by a pack of bikers when I walked into the Harley shop.

I was wondering how stupid is it to learn to ride on Harley, albeit it's an 883.
&nbsp\\;
I think you should learn on the bike you want to ride.&nbsp\\; My 1200 is my first bike, and I have no regrets at all.&nbsp\\; Take it easy until you get the MSF course out of the way.&nbsp\\; They will teach you some good stuff.&nbsp\\; If it were me, I would let it sit in the garage until after the course since you haven't ridden before.&nbsp\\; The last thing you want to do is hurt yourself or your bike.

Did about six miles around the neighborhood-feeling alot more comfortable.&nbsp\\; Practicing shifting/stoping. Funny enough hardly use the brakes the engine brakes pretty well. Just about impossible to stall comming out of a dead stop. I'm just glad I'm not afraid of riding anymore.
