I've been "talking" about getting a Harley for over 5 years now. Other brands just don't have the same appeal to me. Ifinally decided thatif I'm ever going to, I need to go ahead and get started. I rode my first motorcycle in an MSF course 2 weeks ago. I loved riding so much that I went right out and bought a 2008 Nighster the day after I passed the course. I knew I wanted a Harley, but wasn't sure if I could get one. I went to Southside HD here in Virginia Beach, and had no problem getting a Nightster. It's a little smaller than a lot of the bikes I saw there, but it fits me just fine and has got to be one of the coolest looking bikes I've ever seen.
I read somewhere that the Nightster is not too bad for a beginner bike as long as I respect it. I'm still in awe that I was able to buy a brand new Harley, and I've been riding it everyday since I got it, even to commute to work. I feel really comfortable on it, and haven't scratched the bike or myself yet.
I've been searching around alot in recent weeks for information about riding, and customizing my bike. I seem to find myself back on this forum over and over, and have got a lot of good information. So, I decided to register and become a part of it.
