Bobby - I am a Navy Veteran also. Was active duty 1974-1978, however was an airdale - a parts chaser as a matter of fact. Was stationed in the scenic town of Kingsville, Texas. With the base here being for submarines, often the sailors forget women are sailors too. However, I was active duty when we were called WAVES. I will always be a WAVE - much to my mom's dislike. You might have heard some of the sayings she didn't like about "join the Navy and ride the WAVES." She hated that phrase.
2002fatboy - Atlanta....whew, your cloverleafs on the interstate could give anyone headaches....don't envy you riding there.
Wind Rider - my place of birth is Kansas City. You are about 3 hours or so from my stomping grounds of Nevada, Missouri. Nevertheless, wherever anyone from Missouri lives we all have such kind words for some of the drivers in the Jay Hawk state (not!)
