after 33 yrs i finally got one
just got my first harley this past weekend, it's a '03 100th anniversery fatboy. I've been riding since i was about 7 yrs old. i'm 40 now and i've always had some sort of bike through the yrs mostly street bikes, but i always dreamed of having a harley. Bad news is that it's been snowing and raining here in eastern kentucky since i got it and i havent been able to ride it. First thing i gotta do though is get some pipes. I've been reading the exhaust forum and doing a little research and i'm kinda confused now more then i was before. I wanna get some loud sound , but keep or increase power. I'm heading off to work now, so i'll check back with you guys in the morning. thanks, Dan

Welcome to the brother hood as far as the pipes I think it is prefrence. Myself I like go more than show but that is me. There are a lot of good pipes out there. I like Rineharts but the Pro One pipe is awsome to. You'll figure it out good luck and see ya around.
Congrats and send those pics soon.

Welcome to the forum. Screamin' Eagle II slip ons will keep your performance and give you sound increase as well. I recommend talking to other Harley owners near you and listening to what they have and check out how the various pipes look...then make up your mind.

Welcome Coalminer
Your're going to like it here. Great people with lots of good advice.
I run Rineharts on my Screamin Eagle but Screamin Eagle II slip ons are very good if you are only going to put on slip on mufflers. Vance and Hines make very good mufflers and total exhaust systems. Check out the exhaust forum in Vtwintalk. Get some pics of your bike posted.
Where are you from in Eastern Kentucky. I'm originally from Cincinnati but now live in Illinois.
