What type/kind is my new bike...???
Hello folks...
Can somebody tell me what kind of bike I own? I bought it a week ago, and it's a custom build bike, with "Harley-Davidson" written on the tank. But actually I'm kinda confused...
Some facts on the bike:
Build in 2001 by Nordland Cycles.
HPU prolonged frame with HPU "softtail-like rear".
S&S block/case/base (or whatever the nameis)with standard HD EVO cyls and heads on top of it.
S&S Carb.
CCT Stretched tank.
80 spoke wheels, with230 mmrear tire.
Supertrapp 2in1exhaust.
SJP front forks and suspension.
Custom made fibre fenders.
Sozius seat and handlebars.
RSTALU footpegs.
Ritz risers.
Custom disc brakes (double disc in front).
Is this a Harley at all?
Can I call it a Softtail?
Is it anything near a FXST?
CanI callit a 2001, when the motor is an EVO (discontinued in 1999)?
Can I trade this bike for more, or less than agenuine Harleywhen I want to sell it again?
Hope that somebody has some answers for all my questions, or just some of them....

I don't know how it works for "you" "over there", but insurance is no problem. I'm sitting right now with all the papers, and the bike is registered and insured in this very moment (in Germany).
The bike was ordered by the former owner (I'm the 2nd owner), with the parts listed above. All written into the registration document on the bike. So no problem there.
Title? You mean the company who build it? That would be Nordland Cycle, Germany.
But is it then a Nordland Cycle? Is it that simple? And then, it can't be, as they have only assembled the bike, with parts from different manufacturers...

Oh, by the way..., I can see that they have called this "model" Black Magic...
But is it a Harley? Or just a custom build bike?

It's a "custom" you can call it anything you like.... just as long as you ride it, and love it... but I suppose to the "purists"... it's a 2001 Nordland Black magic.....

Most defanantly a custom. Enjoy riding that thing it looks cool. As far as trade in value try to get what you payed in for it or as close as possible if you are going to trade soon. Or just list it, sale it thenuse that money to pay down on another bike.Just my 2 cents worth.

Definately a Custom but use of the word 'just' in front of the word custom isnt appropriate. Its a beautiful looking bike, a one off, totally unique. Be proud, youve got a great looking bike there.
