Still consider myself a "newby". Maybe 4 (?) years ago started on a Honda Elite 80, then to a Hondamatic, Suzuki Intruder, both too top heavy, got "nervous" and went to a Tank 250 (cheap) I sorta kept up, but wobbly in cross winds @ 60,also way too quiet. Did some hunting and found 05 Sportster 883L in near by town (dealer), bought lastNov, it "just fit". Husband thought it'd be too loud with the shorty's so bought stock (?) pipes. He bought me a Mustang seat forxmas, also been shoppingon ebay this winter, lowering springs (I'm 5'4") wasn't quite flat footed, sissy bar, passenger pegs (just in case), luggage rack, and currently waiting on forward controls to get in. Impatiently waitingfor it to warm-up a bit!!
