RE: About to enter the Harley Zone
Welcome from Florida!
I agree, talk to some of the people in the sportster section and they can help, but here is some of my thoughts :
1) Yes, but it depends on the dealership and how cool the sales guys are. I went with my buddy to get a bike and they have him a $400 gift certificate he had to use within like 3 days, so he got some cool accessories with his new bike. Don't ask for the world though, they can only do so much.
2) Yes it does ok in the rain, to be on the safe side, try not to ride all the time in torrential downpours.
3) I think it might be asking a little less, but try it. Be firm and know that they all are crooks, you just have to find the better of the crook to negotiate with.
Good luck getting the bike, and wish you the best

Welcome from the Bremerton area. The key is to shop around.I bought my Ultra at the Coos bay dealership. The Silverdale store isnt known for dealing.Remember if you buy acces.in Oregon not to have them on the same invoice as bike-then you wont pay tax on acces. just bike. PM me if you have any questions

Well my friend I saw a 2006 XL1200c with 218 miles on it go for $7000.00 flat still under warenty. You may wish to look into a low milage used bike and extend the warenty if ya wish.My self I would recomend ya test drive a full size frame and wide front end ( I also tryed to get my oldest brother move his new bike choice to a glide. He did'nt listen and a year and a half later hes looking for a RKC orHeritage classic and bummed on what he'll get for his sportster.) I found a 06 RK Custom with 3000 miles still under warnty with lots of extras for 13,300 last aug and am still grinnen.
Good luck choose wisely
