Hello from Portland
This might just be the coolest website I've found. I feel like I need to say thanks already for the great info I've picked off of here. I am stunned by the quality of the customizing I've seen. Incredible!

RE: Hello from Portland
Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!
BigDaddy2... Its an amazing color isn't it? Funny story how I came to own it.... The day before Thanksgiving, 2006 my daughter was out of school so we were spending a little quality time and found ourselves at the local HD dealer. No intention of getting a bike, just killing time. And when I say no intention of buying, I mean I had not owned a street bike in 8 years and then it was a Suzuki knee-dragger. Had never ridden a Harley and knew NOTHING about them!
As the salesman showed us around he said he had a Pearl White/Gold(or something like that) up-stairs, a combo that sounded cool. We looked and looked but no bike. Must have sold over the weekend was the logical answer. As we turned to leave, my daughter asks how they get the bikes up-stairs. I walk her over to the elevator just as it opens up... Out rolls the 2007 Jake Blue and Elwood Blue Sunglow FLHTCU still wrapped in shipping tape, no windshield, no side covers... It was like "BAM!" Thats the one. I gotta have it. Called the boss for a quick lunch meeting at the dealer (after coughing up a little deposit) and she agreed, there was no waysomeone else could ride it home. Set up, washed and delivered the day after Turkey Day. I've never been happier with an impulse buy!
Sun is out tomorrow the local weather cat says. Shiny pic of the bike soon to follow. (How do I not have any good pictures of this thing? Bad dad I guess)
