First time Harley owner, a 2000 883xlh, would like to change handlebars- easy or hard?

Took me about an hour or so to change mine. Not too difficult. I had never done it before either when I done mine. Just make sure you have all the nessessary tools before you start and just pay attention to how things came off and put it on the same way. Also make sure your throttle cable is long enought to fit the new handlebars if they are bigger then your old ones. If not you might have to replace your cables especially if you have large apehangers.

Welcome Jed, re-handle bars - easy if you choose bars that don't require the cables and wiring to be lenghtened. By the sound of it (being new), if you go for longer bars let the shop do it for you. bit more expensive but less head aches.
