RE: New guy question?
UPSMAN,
Think of it as a "package car"...
The UPS Package Car v. The FedEx Truck...
Of course the UPS version is the Elite of ALL Alternatives and FedEx is second best to anything...
UPS = Union; HD=Union; FedEx= Non-Union, Metric = Non-Union
Bottom Line, Whatever It Takes To Convert...Enjoy

RE: New guy question?
Welcome,
If you say you can't get this out of your head, and it consumes every minute of the day, then my friend it is in deed time to buy. (Ok this is what happened to me)
Good luck on your decision

RE: New guy question?
I have ridden a 2000 and a 2005 Road Star. In comparison to my 2005 Road King, the Road Star does not handle as well. The steering is "heavy". You have to exert much more effort to turn. The RK is comfortable to ride, while the steering characteristics of the Road Star make it a chore to ride, especially on a twisting road.
I prefer the Road King to the Road Star.
