They removed the thread. Their board, their prerogative. Just too bad things had to deteriorate the way they did.

 

From what I was able to read on that thread, the vtx folks seem to have a huge amount of animosity towards H-D bikes and especially H-D drivers. Just look at the icon buett chose to grace our boards with.

The first thing I did when I bought my VTX was ride to the local Harley Dealer. Took exactly 40 seconds to realize that it may have been a V-Twin, and maybe more or smoother power, but it just wans't the same as those guys pullin' up in the real deal. Started with good treatment by the HD riders there, and bought a few shirts, and the rest is history (So is the VTX- sold it in less than an hour on eBAY to a guy in CO who loved it for about $200 less than I paid).. Alls well that ends well- thank God the Harley people didn't treat me like ****, or I might still be in Honda land....

anytime you talk trash about someone elses choice of motorcycle, there will be drama. i rode sportbikes (honda and kawasaki) for 10 years before i bought my harley, and yes, i used to talk trash about harley because at that time, all of the harley folks i ran into seemed to think they were somehow better than me because of their choice in motorcycle. that's a load of sh*t. I love my harley, and im not getting a vulcan or a vtx, but i am not ruling out getting another sportbike to go along with the harley. to me, it's not what you ride, but THAT you ride.

there are already enough reasons to dislike someone, do we have to add "doesnt ride harley) to the list?

all that being said, i like the forum the way it is. changing to "all makes vtwin" would bring a lot of flaming from both sides, so why bother?
