a lot of people talk about not being able to "afford" a Harley.....well for one thing a new VTX1800 is as expensive as most Harley's!! I ran into a guy at the Jasper park gates (his name was CHARLIE BROWN!! I KID NOT!!) and he said he was at $22,000 already for his vtx...so IMHO why spend that much on a honda?? and another thing is it comes down to how much you are willing to sacrifice!! I sold my 98 dodge ram quad cab 4x4 and I am selling my first bike (1100 shadow spirit) to get my FLHRI! now i drive an 88 toyota tercel hatch back!!! and a kia rio......my bike is more than double the price of both cars combined!! I think it is a matter of how bad you REALLLLLY want it! just my $0.2.
