New guy from...uhm..Kuwait?
Hello all! Man..there sure are alot of newbies here!
So I'm actually from San Ramon, CA, but currently deployed to Kuwait for another month and a half or so.
I've been riding for about 14 years. My first bike was aYamaha '82 Seca 750, then I picked up a 92 Ninja 600. I switched to a cruiser in 1997, and bought a 94 Suzuki Intruder 1400. I still have the bike, with ove 120,000. Its been great, and has given me very little problems. She is getting old though...so its time to get her a new friend.
When I was in Virginia earlier this year, I rented an 07 Ultra Classic and went for a 1000, 2 day ride. I fell in love. So when i got home to Cali, I rented another one just before coming here to this lovely paradise called kuwait
, and took the wife for a ride as well. She liked it. So I will be taking advantage of the AAFES new car sales program while i'm here in the middle east.
Here is the quote I got:
19,888 - Electra Glide Ultra Classic - CA
345 - US freight
379 - delivery point processing
1289 - 5 yr extended service plan
313.50 - cruise control and security system
----------
22214.50 Total (plus tax and registration
What do you all think?
Its about $3k less than a quote i got from a home town dealer before i came here.
Anyways, I'll be getting the Pacific Blue and Vivid Black, wil probably take delivery sometime in April, just in time for spring...cant wait!

Welcome to the forum. I'm due South in Saudi. Bought my RG thru AAFES in Baghdad last year. I saved about $3k myself (actually, almost $4k) because I got my 07 quoted at 06 prices (right before they officially released the new lineup). Enjoy the new ride and stay safe.
