[center]
hey there all.
Well yes im new to the forum, Im also new to the HD world. I used to have one of the other kind of bikes years ago. Well i sold it. took me a while to get a nother bike and went allout and went to the top. Bought a Harley. DAMB, if i knew then how much i would have loved it i would have had one for years.
I just retired form the NYPD and bought it as a retirement present to my self.
I have 2005 Road king, as most people get i got bite by the custom bug. nothing major, just little thing here and there. but im sure it will get worse (lol) got the bike in JUne with 2 miles and have over 4600 now. as long as its not to cold and to wet i will be on it,
Living on Long Island never know how cold it will ge.
well gonna run.
remember always ride safe
Lee

Lee,

Welcome from a fellow LEO. I've been with the Coles County Sheriff's Office here in Illinois for 24 years and am looking forward to retirement ASAP. Glad you found the forum. There are quite a few cops here and lots of Donut Jokes.

The people here are great and very knowledgeable. If you're thinking about a mod and want any feedback before spending the money, just post something in either the General Harley Chat or Touring Section. With as many members as we have there probably isn't anything we haven't tried.

Congrats Lee, on your recent retirement and wonderful choice of real motorcycles. Of course, I may be a bit influenced by its model and color???

Hi Lee welcome to the forum. Ex-cop myself, but then I discovered computers and have been in that game for longer than I care to remember. Now I have found Harleys, mine does not arrive until March so it is a LOOOONG wait.

Welcome! You better get vaccinated soon because once it gets into your blood the chromtis bug
doesn't go away. I was going to keep my 06 Deuce stock for the winter as I just picked it up
Oct 22 and have only been able to log 733 miles on before winter hit. I've noticed that whenever
I go to the dealer, I walk away with less mone than I had when I got there. lol But, my bike is
getting a very shiney makeover.
I don't know which is worse: waiting till March for a bike or having one in the garage that you can't ride
till March.

Welcome to the group, and I hope winter is a short one for all of us northerners.
