My name is Harold, but friends in low places call me McGoo. I'm an aging know-it-all from Southern California who likes to build and ride motorcycles. I'd never heard of the HDF until I ran a track on www.ElDiabloRun.com. The EDR is a Mexican motorcycle ride I started with a friend of mine three years ago. Quite surprisingly, a good portion of our traffic to the EDR site comes from the HDF. I say surprisingly because we've never posted a thread about this event on the HDF. After learning of the HDF's existence, I decided to share some info about our event with the interested parties on this site who might not know about our little freakout hellride.
You can check out the EDR by clicking here www.eldiablorun.com
Besides helping with the EDR, I'm also involved with a couple friends in a little chopper parts company called Biltwell Inc. Biltwell makes classic, affordable custom chopper parts, helmets and accessories for younger, style-conscious motorcycle riders and builders. Biltwell's been in busness a little over a year, and in that short time we've developed a good following for our hahdlebars, pipe kits, helmets, exhaust tips, solo seats, forward controls and other components.

Here are some photos of bikes I've built in recent years:

This is the Sportfighter. It's powered by a '96 XL1200 Sporty motor, and it features an Atlas Engineering Softail frame, fat 18" wheels F/R, a Cole Foster tank and miscellaneous other low-budget bits and pieces.

This is my most recent build, the Flyrite Choppers Smokin' Gun. It's powered by a '99 XL883, and it's the bike I'm riding on next year's EDR.
As you can see, I like Sportsters.
Anyway, thanks for letting me introduce myself. I'm sorry this intro seems so self-serving and corporate; I'm not trying to sell anyone on anything; I'm just trying to expand my horizons into different H-D scenes...
