Why Bother?
I am pretty new here, but I have to wonder why people post the same "welcome from <fill in the blank> in response of people posting in this section? Is it to build up their number of posts or ???
I don't get it. They add nothing to the forum, yet many people seem to do it regularly.
What am I missing here?

I post in the new members section to bring my post count up because Terry pays me 50 cents for every 100 post and I'm working my way to a new Lego set. [8D]

Well, I have met a few folks just by saying hi to them..either because they live near or, have questions about the forum....whatever.
When folks say hi to you don't you respond??
