RE: New Member from Tulsa, Okla..
Hiya Steve, welcome!
I'm a transplanted Okie.
I moved to Phoenix, Arizona after leaving the Marine Corps. Been back there this year more times that I have in the last 10.
I'd bet it is starting to get really cold there now. And I'm sure I don't have to warn you about black ice.

Welcome, Okie brother!
I'm pretty-new to the Forum as well, but the folks here seem great. I'm in OKC so I understand what you mean about traffic. I had the GREAT pleasure of "re-training" with a couple of excellent friends over the course of the last year and a half (or so) before I made the leap for my own ride. :-) It was really cool to have my "own" Road Captain leading the way! :-) But now I'm off the---uh,...bottle and really enjoy the road. You will two, Sking!---Although the crotch-rocket riders can give us all bad names (sorry, if that offends---it's just my prejudice), I'm glad no one got hurt with that encounter of yours.

Firehawk, it's actually not as bad (yet) as you might think. The morning lows have been in the 30s and 40s and the daytime highs in the 50s and 60s. So, if I can make it through the ride to work in the morning, then I'm still enjoying the ride home!

thanks again for the welcome guy's.. of course I think your wrong about how cold it is here.. the older I get the more I hate cold weather, always said after my kids were grown I would move but here I still sit..I spend as much time as I can at the lake in the summer, I have an Allison bass boat, so between my boat and this new Harley I would prefer milder winters. I just finished a mod to my RG today, I put a fatboy front fender it. just like the look with the fairing.
see ya
