Hello everyone, newbie to the forums here. I'm from Illinois, just started riding in March. I bought an '07 Sportster 1200 Custom in June. I've got Screamin' Eagle slip-ons (modified by me, of course), and some dress-up items (pegs, shifter peg, hand grips). I plan on doing a lot more with my bike (lighting, drag bars, etc), all in good time.
I'm a graduate student at Western Illinois University in Macomb, I'm in Engineering. I have keys and access to the machine shop here, and I'm also a Graduate Assistant to a couple of professors.
I've got a few plans to custom-make some parts using a CNC mill (my current project is learning SurfCAM to design stuff easier). I'm planning to make some forward controls extensions, my forward controls aren't comfortable enough for me. I've got a few more things in mind, I'll just have to see how the first project goes.
I look forward to learning more every day here on the forums, and contributing when I can. See you around the threads...
