Greetings from SC
Today I purchased a 2011 Harley Davidson Sportster XL883L. I got a pretty good deal on it ($4000) it has 6,200 miles and is a real beauty. This is my second Harley, my first Harley was a 1968 350 CC Sprint (Used Street Model), I wish I still had it. Between then and now I have owned a 1968 Honda 175 (used), a 1986 Kawasaki Z650 (used), and 3 Honda 1100 cc Shadows (used).
So why the Sportster Low? I am 75 years old and it is about all I can handle at my age. The Good Lord willing I will ride for about 10 more years and then hang it up!
I have been watching a lot of motorcycle Vlogs on you tube and just had to join in. I told my wife, this one had to be a Harley.
I am Smiling! Taking my first ride tomorrow morning while everyone is in Church.

Welcome to the HDFORUM.
I hope you continue to enjoy your ride here, as much as you enjoy bikes.
Only as a suggestion, by me as a USER, just like you, create a signature line similar to my one line on my bike information.
The year, model, and all the letters Harley assigned to the bike. It will appear at the bottom of your posts.
Doing this will be helpful if you ask a question. All Harleys aren't the same with many changes and variations over the year.
Of course, you can always add it to any thread with a question.
You can also add any other details you choose and a favorite picture that will appear once every page length in a thread to the signature lines.
PS….. For sure, thank you for your service since you appear to be Navy.
I have that picture in my man cave. Not military, just built parts for Air Craft Carrier and Submarines for 46 years.
For that badge of honor you see on the Forum’s military User’s if you are.
Go here and post a request as a new post.
