New to this Forum
Greetings! I'm new here - mainly because after 40 years of owning an 81 Wide Glide I have run into an issue that has me stumped... I'll elaborate in a focused thread on the appropriate page.
Brief history - bought my WG in November of 85 here in the Portland, OR area - rode it to Key west FL over the winter (saw the shuttle explode while there
) and then back to NOR CAL to return to my (then) job in the Mendocino Hills... Been riding it on and off since, with several rebuilds, and lots of maintenance in between - all done myself other than machining, etc which I don't have a shop for. Passed the bike to my son after his last tour in Iraq in 2014 - but got it back in 2019 when he was unable to maintain it where he was at.
Love riding it, but not an avid "Biker" and I've been rebuilding for the past few years - got it back together a couple years ago, then broke a cup on a hydraulic lifter during disassembly - been having trouble ever since...

I hope you continue to enjoy your ride here, as much as you enjoy bikes.
Only as a suggestion, by me as a USER just like you, create a signature line similar to my one line on my bike information.
The year, model, and all the letters Harley assigned to the bike. It will appear at the bottom of your post.
Doing this will be helpful if you ask a question. All Harleys aren't the same with many changes and variations over the years.
Of course, you can add it to any thread with a question.
You can also add any other details you choose and a favorite picture to the signature lines that will appear once every page length of your post in a thread.
If you like, you can also add another favorite picture for an Avatar you see at the top left of all your posts.
