Newest mem. From Ky
Just inherited a 1978 flh shovelhead, I’m in the process of restoring the bike. Motor is in good shape and trans but the tank is pretty rough and so is the carburetor, as well as no brakes and ripped wires underneath. The major issue is the primary. The primary was leaking really bad and instead of going back to a wet primary, I’m going to try to find a kit that will be dry clutch that i can still use electric start and kickstart. So i came to find this forum to help me restore my uncles bike. Plus if you guys got any tips, tools, websites to checkout please let me know.

Welcome to the HDFORUM.
I hope you continue to enjoy your ride here to.
Only as a suggestion, by me as a USER, create a signature line similar to my one line on my bike information.
The year, model, and all the letters Harley assigned to the bike. It will appear at the bottom of your post.
Doing this will be helpful if you ask a question. All Harleys aren't the same with many changes and variations over the year.
Of course, you can always add it to any thread with a question.
You can also add any other details you choose and a favorite picture to the signature lines.
If you like, you can also add a favorite picture for an Avatar you see at the top left of all your posts as a postal
PS…Questions would probably get more comments in the proper area using the dropdown menu under Forums in the menu above.
It’s possible if a Community Team member sees your post, they may move it to a better area.
If they do, only as a suggestion by me, make another new thread back here in the welcome area to say hello and if desired introduce yourself.
